Dominique Strauss-Kahn takes job as head of investment bank
Former IMF Managing Director Strauss-Kahn has accepted to be named Chairman of the Board of Anatevka, now “Leyne, Strauss-Kahn & Partners, Compagnie Financière” (LSK), to develop an international investment bank activity.
For the last two years, Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been advising foreign governments worldwide, like Serbian’s and South Sudanese, as well as corporations, such as the Russian Regional Development Bank, Russian Direct Investment Fund, National Credit Bank or a consortium of Moroccan banks.
In order to develop such activities, former French Minister of Economy and Finance now wishes to rely on the teams and international presence of Anatevka, a Group founded in 1994 by banker Thierry Leyne (co-founder of Consors, Synthesis Bank, EBPF-Financière de l’Echiquier, Assya, Firstcaution …).
Developing investment bank activities
The Anatevka team includes about a hundred professionals located in 6 countries: Luxembourg, Belgium, Monaco, Israel, Switzerland, and Romania. Today, the Group is specialized in various regulated financial activities, such as asset management (Assya Group), corporate finance, brokerage and insurance (Firstcaution Group).
Thierry Leyne stated: “I’m happy and honored that Dominique Strauss-Kahn has accepted to come join our Group as Chairman of the Board. Thanks to his global vision and unique expertise, we will be able to develop an investment banking activity, while keeping our international entrepreneurial culture. This pole will provide strategic advice and services to governments, companies and individuals for their international strategic development, their financing, debt restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.”
Following Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s nomination as Chairman of the board, which should occur after the General Shareholders Meeting of October 18th, 2013, Thierry Leyne will remain managing director and chairman of the Group’s subsidiaries.
Anatevka becomes LSK
Pursuant to the change of governance, the Group will undergo a name modification from the current Anatevka Compagnie Financière to “Leyne, Strauss-Kahn & Partners, Compagnie Financière” or “LSK”.
The company will remain listed on NYSE Euronext Paris (Code Isin LU0834474271 – Code Mnemo MLANA).
